The Astral Elves, or Star-Touched, have a history shrouded in mystery and mystique. When or how they came to have their skin covered in glistening specks of light akin to the stars is not exactly known, but what is firmly believed by the Star-Touched themselves is that they have been directly blessed by the Manastream, and thus blessed by the Arcane Goddess Jadasyl.

It goes without saying that the Astral Elves believe they are favored by Jadasyl, and strongly hold cultural teachings and origin stories that center around how and why they became as they are. No living Astral Elf can truly recall what exactly happened to them, but they have passed down their origin myths first vocally and now through written text, poems and songs.


The Creation Myth:
(As told from an elder to a child.)


Long ago, farther back than any could truly count or recall, we were not as we now are. Our skin was dark, but blank, and our eyes were solid and dim. We roamed in a blinding darkness, hunting and taming the wicked wilds of the canopy forests and winding mazes of many scattered caves we lived in. We were not united; we were not at peace with ourselves or our kin. Our home was cruel, and we had to be just as heartless to survive.


The sky was lost to us, the whimsy of the Fae creatures that roamed around us meant nothing to us - we struggled every single day to simply survive. How could we take the time to bask in Mother's nightly masterpieces if we were hiding from the beasts that roamed our woodland homes? How could we appreciate all she had created around us if we focused only on defending our self made borders? We were lost, blind to what really mattered - but our Mother would soon give us sight.


From the sky a mighty rumble was heard; it was so bold and powerful it shook our cavern homes and caused trees to tremble within our forests. The light was so bright, it cut through the canopies that had shrouded us for so long. Our Ancestors hurried out of their homes and chased the light that danced across the half seen sky - they ran through the forests and out of the caves to see what could have illuminated our dark world.


From the forests we poured out into a massive grove. At the center, where a tree once stood, sat a stone that shimmered more beautifully than any gem or crystal before it or after. The towering rock cast a glow over all that stood nearby, causing our kin to gasp in awe of it. They say the stone sang a sweet melody, one that beckoned our kin to come nearer.


One by one our ancestors came to gather closer and closer, and one by one did they dare place a palm upon that magnificent stone. It was at that moment each of them, glistening in the blinding but stunning light of the sky-rock, said they were awoken for the first time. They could see, they could understand, and they knew that our Mother had sent this Asteroid to us, to bless us and claim us as hers.


Never again would we ignore her beautiful nights; never again would we deny her our attention, praise and devotion. The many clans of the untamed wilds came together, and the elves we once were ceased to matter. We were born anew; we were better, smarter, and made perfect in her design. We were Star-Touched, the Astral elves and children of Jadasyl. Those destined to explore, to know, to study and to push boundaries; the perfect creation.”

The Culture of the Star Touched

It goes without saying that the general culture of the star skinned elves is centered around their favored Goddess, Jadasyl, and the arcane and fae arts that encompass her domain. Due to the complicated nature of their Goddess, many Star-Touched hold traditions based around both Jabar’ii and Lepen, the Arcane and Fae realms. It is not uncommon for these elves to follow the path of the Druid or dive deep into exploring and expanding their knowledge of the Arcane, both done to honor Lady Jadasyl.
Knowledge is ultimately what the Star-Touched care about, knowing that their goddess thrives in her Fae based workshop, testing boundaries and gathering more and more lost knowledge. In her honor, these curious and driven elves attempt to amass the grandest schools, largest libraries and collect even the most forbidden articles of knowledge.
Their society typically is Matriarcal, due to their favoring of the goddess, but they do not look down upon the males of their kind - at least not typically. This structure trickles down from the very top, where they have a queen ruling over them, down to their family lives - with mothers often running the household and ensuring the family is safe and thriving. It is not unheard of for fathers to step up to take up this role, it is just uncommon. On the note of family, maintaining some level of purity to keep their stunning star painted flesh is very important to these elves, but that does not mean that mixed families are impossible. They are just more unlikely to mix with the other elves or Kobolds than their elven cousins. 
In addition to this, the Astral Elves are known to trace their lineage, wanting to prove that they have a very direct route to the first elves to become Star-Touched. Family trees are often very well kept and highly detailed!

The Appearance of the the Star-Touched

Astral elves, while looking quite different from the other elven races, still share some common characteristics, most notably is their elongated ears. Some Astal elves have been known to have ears that surpass the average length of that of both Frost Born and Aqua Blessed. On average, the Star Touched stands anywhere between five (5) feet and six (6) feet tall, though some have been seen to reach the height of six (6) feet and four (4) inches tall. They will never be under five (5) feet in height.


While the Star Touched may come in shades of blue, pink, purple, grey and black, they are considered one of the darker toned of the elven races. These shades are rarely, if ever, pale. Their flesh typically resembles that of the night sky, and sometimes even nebulas. This is due to their dark skin being covered in hundreds of small speckles of glistening and glowing silver, gold or white light. These odd markings are where they get their name, Astral Elves, for it looks as though these elves were plucked out of the night sky.


The eyes of the Astral Elves can vary but always cast some level of glow, though this can be dim or bright. This glow does not produce enough light to aid others in seeing in the dark. With this said, their eyes are often “solid” in color, with their sclera being either a paler, similar or darker shade of their iris color or black. Their eyes are usually shades found in the night sky or in nebulas, giving them a wide range in available colors. Some of these colors include but are not limited to: orange, yellow, white, blue, pink, purple and red.


Lastly, there is no common texture to the hair of the Astral Elves. They have been seen to have curly hair, straight hair or wavy hair, with none being more common or less common than the others. Their hair typically comes in white, silver, black, deep purple, dark blue, or - rarely - pale pink, purple or blue. The most common color for their hair would be white, silver or black.

Lifespan and Reproduction


Just like all of the elven races, the Astral Elves can live to be roughly five hundred (500) years old. With that said, there have been some seen to live much longer than this. 


General Redlines

  • The glow of both the eyes and skin of the Astral Elf can not be used to aid others in seeing in the dark. It does not, in any way, provide an advantage to both other players and the player of the Astral Elf themselves; it is completely cosmetic.

  • Kobold x Astral Elf hybrids can occur, but the resulting child is unable to procreate themselves.

  • While it is culturally written that the Astral Elves are profoundly attracted to Arcane magics and seem to have a natural affinity to magic in general, this is a cultural aspect and is not supported mechanically. It is entirely an aesthetic part of their culture and they do not, actually, have any sort of advantage over any race in learning magic.

The Way of Light


“The world is imperfect, but it does not need to remain this way. With my Blessings we can create a world as pure as my Light.”


The world that we inhabit is broken but beautiful, but how much more breathtaking could it be if we embraced Her Light and cleansed it of its imperfections and blight? Picture a world with no sickness, no curses or cruelty - one where we embrace each other and work together to maintain this perfect realm. Such a dream is achievable under Her Guidance, all one needs is Faith.


“My Children, I am your Light, your Guide, your Beacon. Follow my voice, answer my call, and I shall bless you with the Might to fell all darkness - and all I ask in return is your Faith.”


Faith is the most powerful thing any follower of our Lady Arilynae can have. It is faith that allows us to persevere through our hardships, and to face our fears and weaknesses. Our strength is our Faith, and thus we should never falter in our devotion to the Golden One.


A child of the Light will understand that the path before them is not one meant for the weak, for the Dragoness expects those only strong of Will, Flesh and Soul to stand at her side.

The Sacred Tenants



Praise me not just when you need me, but in all moments of your life.


The worship of the Golden Dragon should not be conducted just when one may wish for her boons or guidance; she expects true devotion from her followers, for them to be convicted to her cause and her teachings.

Harm none who are innocent but do not hesitate to bring justice to those who are not.


The blessings of the Dragoness should never be used to harm innocent people, no matter the reason. If they do not directly go against the Dragoness’s teachings, they are to be left alone. On that note, any who goes against her will or attempts to still the hand of justice should be swiftly dealt with.

All who seek to Blight or Harm must parish.


In creating a perfect realm, those who would dare smudge her pristine canvas must be slain. There is no room for sympathy for such vile ilk.

Remain Pure in Spirit, Mind and Body.


Do not partake in such foolish things as drink and drugs, as they will blur one’s mind and cause you to stray from the path laid before you. If you do, limit consumption and never partake into drunkenness. Do not humor those who do not follow your faith, and do not humor your convictions - in doing so they may guide you from the Light. Do no harm onto yourself, for any injury of your vessel taints the perfection of her creation.

Harm not your Kin, but bring them before Me for Judgement.


Harm not others who hold your beliefs, for they are meant to guide others onto the Dragoness’s path. Should they stray from the Light, pray to Her, and bring them forth to a temple. It is not the duty of the Children of Light to place Divine Judgement onto their kin; they are only to ensure the tainted are brought to the Golden One for her to decide what shall be done with them.

The Cursed Woes



Woe to those who plot within shadows with tainted desires.


Those who lurk in the dark often have dark intentions; be wary of what these individuals may be plotting.

Woe to those who desire to spread slander and seek to smear my Holy name.


Be wary of any who would dare slander the Golden One; should you allow such lies to be seeded, you risk allowing darkness to be spread. Always defend your faith and your Goddess, be it with tact or with might.

Woe to those who partake in drunkenness, gambling and debauchery for these are the actions of the weak willed.


The Children of Light are the walking embodiment of the Golden One; you are what the Innocent shall turn to in their moments of need. You must always represent Her, in Grace, Strength, Will and Devotion. By stooping to the acts of drunkard or the harlot, you smear the very name you represent and bring to question your devotion to Her.

Woe to those who stray in their devotion or those who put anyone or anything else above Me.


Devotion and Faith are what She asks of her Children; to stray is to betray Her, to bring to question your morals or intent. Nothing should come before your duties to Her, for your Faith in Her should be a part of all that you are and all that you do.

Woe to those who welcome the impure not into their temples but into their beds.


We welcome the lost into our Temples to guide them to Her blessed Light, but the lost can sometimes truly be beasts in disguise. Souls that are impure risk tainting your own being, and bring to question your morals. Should your image be stained, so shall the message you seek to spread. One should welcome only those who walk the Gilded Path and carry great Faith into this sacred act.

Woe to those who falter in their duties, those who do not shelter and protect.


It is the duty of all Clerics to protect, to heal and to guide the Lost. Shun from your temples any who claim to walk the Gilded Path but who would deny aid to an innocent due to their mortal associations. Children of the Light are not bound by region, race or nation - they are bound only to the Will of the Golden One. It is thus their duty to heal all who seek it, so long as their souls be Pure and blade not used against one of our kin.

The Sacred Tenants



Praise me not just when you need me, but in all moments of your life.


The worship of the Golden Dragon should not be conducted just when one may wish for her boons or guidance; she expects true devotion from her followers, for them to be convicted to her cause and her teachings.

Harm none who are innocent but do not hesitate to bring justice to those who are not.


The blessings of the Dragoness should never be used to harm innocent people, no matter the reason. If they do not directly go against the Dragoness’s teachings, they are to be left alone. On that note, any who goes against her will or attempts to still the hand of justice should be swiftly dealt with.

All who seek to Blight or Harm must parish.


In creating a perfect realm, those who would dare smudge her pristine canvas must be slain. There is no room for sympathy for such vile ilk.

Remain Pure in Spirit, Mind and Body.


Do not partake in such foolish things as drink and drugs, as they will blur one’s mind and cause you to stray from the path laid before you. If you do, limit consumption and never partake into drunkenness. Do not humor those who do not follow your faith, and do not humor your convictions - in doing so they may guide you from the Light. Woe to those who plot within shadows with tainted desires.


Those who lurk in the dark often have dark intentions; be wary of what these individuals may be plotting.

Be wary of any who would dare slander the Golden One; should you allow such lies to be seeded, you risk allowing darkness to be spread. Always defend your faith and your Goddess, be it with tact or with might.

Woe to those who partake in drunkenness, gambling and debauchery for these are the actions of the weak willed.


The Children of Light are the walking embodiment of the Golden One; you are what the Innocent shall turn to in their moments of need. You must always represent Her, in Grace, Strength, Will and Devotion. By stooping to the acts of drunkard or the harlot, you smear the very name you represent and bring to question your devotion to Her.

We welcome the lost into our Temples to guide them to Her blessed Light, but the lost can sometimes truly be beasts in disguise. Souls that are impure risk tainting your own being, and bring to question your morals. Should your image be stained, so shall the message you seek to spread. One should welcome only those who walk the Gilded Path and carry great Faith into this sacred act.

It is the duty of all Clerics to protect, to heal and to guide the Lost. Shun from your temples any who claim to walk the Gilded Path but who would deny aid to an innocent due to their mortal associations. 3. Using RP to give the other players involved no opportunity to interact or defend themselves: Ah yes, the dreaded one-sided RP: this can be in cases such as “/me stabs Borroughs in the gut” as opposed to “/me steps forward with the intention of stabbing Borroughs in the gut” or even /me grabs Borroughs’ face and kisses them” as opposed to “/me leans in for a kiss” (Consent is important, friends!)

Safi stands at around 4 ft if she stands straight and maybe lengthens her neck just a weeee bit to appear taller. Her fur is a warm cocoa that fades into a soft cream at her muzzle, paws, and ears which she tends to tuck into several folds of fabric to protect from her native harsh desert climate. As a Miraj, she has a singular, spiral-like horn that grows out of her forehead. While it has no magical properties, Miraj horns glow, almost sparkle in direct moonlight and if they catch desert winds just right, their horns play haunting melodies across the sands. 


Safiya is a curious Kobold and has an affinity to herbs and medicine though she could certainly work on her bedside manner—she hasn’t had much practice speaking to anyone outside her inner circle so she absolutely has a tendency to inadvertently insert her foot in her mouth with her pressing but naive questions.

Rarity: Uncommon


Habitat:
The Ballump lives in the frigid, snowy parts of the world. They thrive in the cold, harsh tundras and frozen taigas that dot the realm.


Appearance/Physical traits:
Ballumps have the appearance of a snowy hare combined with a towering polar bear. These hulkish beasts can  reach a maximum height of ten (10) feet tall; they reach this height over the course of their life, growing an entire foot for every five (5) years they have been alive.


The front paws of the Ballump closely resemble that of a rabbit, including the lack of paw-pads found on lagomorphs. Their hind paws are more reminiscent of a bear’s paws, coming with the jagged, sharp claws one would expect to see on them. In addition to their unpleasant claws, these towering hare-beasts house razor sharp canines - not unlike that of the bears they partly resemble.


Oddly, the Ballump is known to walk not on all four of their legs at once, but rather on their two hind legs in a bipedal fashion. Some assume it is because of this curious means of walking that the Ballump is able to move so swiftly and effortlessly through the thick snow that covers their homes.


Behavior:
While some may see these looming bear-hare beasts and be mistaken that they could perhaps be friendly giants, the Ballump is neither kind nor unwilling to display their disdain for outsiders or those who stray too far into their territory. These mighty beasts are known for their remarkable strength and speed, both of which they utilize in their hunts and in defending their land.


Those who have managed to watch the Ballump and observe their mannerisms have said they have the intelligence comparative to monkeys. This has resulted in people witnessing them utilizing items found laying around as simple tools and weapons. They are, however, unable to construct true tools or weapons from the things they collect.


Additionally, because of how aggressive and large the Ballump is, they have been noted to overpopulate areas with lots of game and plant life. This has led to hunting of these hare-bears, which thankfully have a meat that tastes much like a combination of rabbit and chicken. Additionally, their dense pelts have been revered for keeping hunters and travelers warm and somewhat camouflaged in the snow covered regions of the realm.


Abilities or Powers:
The Ballump has a very unusual ability to travel through snow as if unhindered. While submerged in it, they are able to move at twice the normal speed expected in combat. They will use this speed to try and rush their opponents, though at times they have been seen to be more tactical with their approaches.


Due to the strength and might of their impressive paws, one swing to an unarmored foe could leave them seriously wounded (deep gashes, slashes and bruises). This same strike may leave an armored person very severely bruised.

- These creatures are thought to be able to live as long as an elf but due to their aggressive life-style most do not make it past thirty (30) to fifty (50).

Metagaming
Metagaming refers to when you equate your in character knowledge to your personal knowledge. Powergaming is the act of roleplaying in a manner where a person has no downsides and uses any means to win.
e.g: having some random magic spell that had never been mentioned before, gets instantly cast to avoid a lethal blow.

Frizzle, Age: 25, Land Kobold, Female
2.In a few short sentences, please describe both your character’s physical appearance (Height, Hair Color, Eye Color, etc.) and their personality (ie. their temperament and core motivations).
A description of how your character looks and presents to those around them.
Frizzle is a wine red and golden Land Kobold with who looks akin to that of a lizard. She stands at 4 foot tall. Her shimmering, golden spikes and horns stand proud upon her head. Although She is smaller, her size belies her strength as those scaled arms hold a certain athleticism. A slightly pointed muzzle, and bright eyes the color of liquid gold, make a nice contrast with the red of her scales, Just like rubies and gold.
She often dreams of becoming a hero one day and finds herself wanting to help others, although she does have what she dubs “The Urge” whenever gems and gold are involved on her quests.
She finds it difficult to try and not loot every single shiny thing she can lay her claws on, but her dreams of heroism tend to keep her in check, Making her somewhat chaotic in nature. A lover of puns and music, Frizzle tends to try and cheer up those that are around her.

Such as hearing in Discord a character has a certain skill and then bringing that into character to chase after them down to try convince them to teach it to you.

- Powergaming:A description of powergaming and a provided example of usage of powergaming
Powering gaming is when you force an action or outcome onto another person.
When I am fighting another character in my emote including my attack hitting and the damage it is doing would be powergaming.

Alez'andr is a Moon Tavrosi who stands at a rough 226cm, 7'4" not including Horns, with just over a Thirty centimeters (1 foot) spiked elk-like branching horns still growing as they reach maturity atop of their head with long locks of silver hair running down to their waist, slight curls in it despite the efforts to keep is strait. Normally Worn in a ponytail when working, fighting, or in more important matters, though they try to use the hair set off the dark blue bordering on deep purple scales that cover his body and vibrant yellow eyes. His thin tail has spikes running along its length apart from the last fifteen centimeters, six inches. Which lacks any although its hard to notice those scales also seem to lean towards a deeper purple then the rest, alongside the spikes are smaller almost thorn-like ones over its length of 113cm, 3'8" 

Still being young Alez'andr is still unsure of himself in social situations finding it harder to adjust to the way other cultures handle such things compared to his own, he would rather be at home working on his smithing or in the wilds trying to chase the next monster to grow his skills. He invests himself in hard work and finds himself disliking those who do not put effort into their lives or try to better the whole.
