The Way of Light


“The world is imperfect, but it does not need to remain this way. With my Blessings we can create a world as pure as my Light.”


The world that we inhabit is broken but beautiful, but how much more breathtaking could it be if we embraced Her Light and cleansed it of its imperfections and blight? Picture a world with no sickness, no curses or cruelty - one where we embrace each other and work together to maintain this perfect realm. Such a dream is achievable under Her Guidance, all one needs is Faith.


“My Children, I am your Light, your Guide, your Beacon. Follow my voice, answer my call, and I shall bless you with the Might to fell all darkness - and all I ask in return is your Faith.”


Faith is the most powerful thing any follower of our Lady Arilynae can have. It is faith that allows us to persevere through our hardships, and to face our fears and weaknesses. Our strength is our Faith, and thus we should never falter in our devotion to the Golden One.


A child of the Light will understand that the path before them is not one meant for the weak, for the Dragoness expects those only strong of Will, Flesh and Soul to stand at her side.

Praise me not just when you need me, but in all moments of your life.


The worship of the Golden Dragon should not be conducted just when one may wish for her boons or guidance; she expects true devotion from her followers, for them to be convicted to her cause and her teachings.

Harm none who are innocent but do not hesitate to bring justice to those who are not.


The blessings of the Dragoness should never be used to harm innocent people, no matter the reason. If they do not directly go against the Dragoness’s teachings, they are to be left alone. On that note, any who goes against her will or attempts to still the hand of justice should be swiftly dealt with.

All who seek to Blight or Harm must parish.


In creating a perfect realm, those who would dare smudge her pristine canvas must be slain. There is no room for sympathy for such vile ilk.

Remain Pure in Spirit, Mind and Body.


Do not partake in such foolish things as drink and drugs, as they will blur one’s mind and cause you to stray from the path laid before you. If you do, limit consumption and never partake into drunkenness. Do not humor those who do not follow your faith, and do not humor your convictions - in doing so they may guide you from the Light. Do no harm onto yourself, for any injury of your vessel taints the perfection of her creation.

Harm not others who hold your beliefs, for they are meant to guide others onto the Dragoness’s path. Should they stray from the Light, pray to Her, and bring them forth to a temple. It is not the duty of the Children of Light to place Divine Judgement onto their kin; they are only to ensure the tainted are brought to the Golden One for her to decide what shall be done with them.

Those who lurk in the dark often have dark intentions; be wary of what these individuals may be plotting.

Be wary of any who would dare slander the Golden One; should you allow such lies to be seeded, you risk allowing darkness to be spread. Always defend your faith and your Goddess, be it with tact or with might.

Woe to those who partake in drunkenness, gambling and debauchery for these are the actions of the weak willed.


The Children of Light are the walking embodiment of the Golden One; you are what the Innocent shall turn to in their moments of need. You must always represent Her, in Grace, Strength, Will and Devotion. By stooping to the acts of drunkard or the harlot, you smear the very name you represent and bring to question your devotion to Her.

Woe to those who stray in their devotion or those who put anyone or anything else above Me.


Devotion and Faith are what She asks of her Children; to stray is to betray Her, to bring to question your morals or intent. Nothing should come before your duties to Her, for your Faith in Her should be a part of all that you are and all that you do.

Woe to those who welcome the impure not into their temples but into their beds.


We welcome the lost into our Temples to guide them to Her blessed Light, but the lost can sometimes truly be beasts in disguise. Souls that are impure risk tainting your own being, and bring to question your morals. Should your image be stained, so shall the message you seek to spread. One should welcome only those who walk the Gilded Path and carry great Faith into this sacred act.

Woe to those who falter in their duties, those who do not shelter and protect.


It is the duty of all Clerics to protect, to heal and to guide the Lost. Shun from your temples any who claim to walk the Gilded Path but who would deny aid to an innocent due to their mortal associations. Children of the Light are not bound by region, race or nation - they are bound only to the Will of the Golden One. It is thus their duty to heal all who seek it, so long as their souls be Pure and blade not used against one of our kin.

A titan of old, breathed into life early on within the universe. This elemental has been around for eons, simply existing as an engine for the elements to breathe life into the universe.
The Avatar of metal and stone sits within her realm, wise and stoic, as she looks upon her elements in deep thought. She walks, and mountains rise. She cries, and oceans fill. She breathes, and the wind rises. When rage falls upon her, even stars can burn.

A largely uncaring goddess, Laervikorum simply channels her elements into being. Though she is only a paintbrush for chaos, she takes pride in her effect.
Those who listen to the elements closely may find her favor. Legend says she rarely speak to those who use her magic, never hearing from her again until they are ready for mastery. Laervikorum will likely never appear before those who haven’t fully mastered their given element, and rarely to those who do..
She cares not for most life and its desires, her elements will rule and tear. They have been long before, and will continue to be.
This Goddess takes on multiple personalities, some masculine opposed to what the Goddess is normally seen as.

- Fire: Feminine, Much more excitable and verbose.
- Water: Masculine, Laid-back, and much more uncaring than normal.

Who is the Horned Father of the Green Path

The horned god of nature is known to be a kind creature though stern in his beliefs. Like a jolly father, he enjoys watching as nature grows and flourishes, but will scorn those who defile his domain needlessly. Behruun is the patron god of all that has to do with nature, the wilds, animals and plants - and so he is who the druids of the realm will seek to praise for their boons. Some alchemists may praise Behruun for the wonderful works his herbs and plants offer their potions, salves and powders.

He is commonly worshiped as a pair with Jadasyl, the goddess of the Arcane and Fae. The beast-folk of the lands view them as the Father and Mother of all that is wild, whimsical and natural and believe that Behruun with Jadasyl created them.

As the patron of all that is part of nature, Behruun takes his duties as the protector, the hunter, and the loving father very seriously. He teaches of the cycle, that all things are born, live, and die - and through death and decay they are returned to the soil to create new life. His teachings are about being one with the wilds, not living away from it, and embracing the wild nature we all have. He is thought to be a calm and quiet figure, watching and placing judgment on those who enter his woodlands.

Behruun appears rather beast-like to the common elf - a rack of large antlers, with patches of moss and hanging vines dangling from them, rest on top of his head. His figure is broad and tall, and coated in a thin layer of rich reddish brown fur. Behind the beast-man, his long tail swings with a jagged spine sticking from the bottom - a reminder of his willingness to lash out in defense of the wilds.
The Afterlife of those who Follow the Green Path:

Those who praise Behruun and follow the teachings and path he provides for them will join him in Summerland, an eternal lush forest he calls home. Here souls of the Green Ones may reside alongside him and his favorite beasts. This haven is not reserved for just druids, but also those who lived a lifestyle Behruun would approve of, albeit there is a special place within Summerland that only those blessed with his boon may enter - The Glimmering Glade.

"Upon my will, I will raise you to the stars within my embrace."

The Deity of Death is a simple deity. From an outside perspective, this deity is a gender/form-fluid entity that takes all shapes and sizes. They take the form of whatever "client" they are currently seeing would be most comfortable with upon their last moments of departure. It is through them that souls are able to take form upon death, and be harbored to an afterlife that they're destined for.
This deity appears before every person before they die, and has a chance at offering a bargain for a second chance at life, or to stick around as a specter.

Death doesn't have any real allegiances to any mortal standard, but is more so a pillar of The Cycle as a whole. This being said, Death, Themselves is a very light hearted entity when needed, or one that inspires honor upon death within each culture. It's hard to pin down this deity within a small enough explanation, and because of this, many cultures depict Death slightly differently.

AFTERLIFE:

This deity, while the conduit for souls to be directed to where they belong, also watches over their own afterlife. Much is unknown about the plane of death, but it is assumed that each soul is becoming of what they deserve. Some believe that each soul is given back to the universe as energy. Connected to the stream, she found that with ease she could manipulate the flow of mana, using it to craft and conjure forth things of great splendor and wonder.

A curious creature by nature, the fae dragon spent thousands of years drifting through the Stream, creating fae and magics alike - though she had no real desire to control these creations, only the inspiration and drive to see them made.

Loyal to her, the fae of the Stream revere her and answer to her call, though she has never once sought to beckon them - allowing them instead to explore the realm and spread the gifts she bestowed upon them. An indifferent goddess, Jadasyl only seeks to see how the magics and creatures she created will influence the world, but has no desire to aid in their usage by the mortals - rather enjoying watching from a distance.

People who worship Arilynae find their souls escorted to her realm upon death. The realm of the Golden Dragon is pristine, made of flawless white marble. Tall pillars of the stone guide the soul deeper into her domain, beckoning them to travel onward.

At the heart of the Goddess’s realm is a massive courtyard that houses a shallow pool of crystal clear water. In the center of this pool is a throne made of the same perfect stone; large golden and silver shimmering crystals jut from the waters encompassing where the dragoness rests.

She is a kind woman, with a gentle smile that is ever present, though one would be unwise to mistake her warmth as weakness. Her conviction in her cause is unwavering, and she expects nothing less of those who walk her hollowed path.

She is the Keeper of Oaths, the Patron of Purity and the stern hand that seeks to bring Justice and Order to the realm. Driven by an image of the perfect world, Arilynae beckons her followers to aid others, tend to the sick and wounded, and remind all of the serenity of the Light.

Tenets of Light
