“Simple, efficient and silent - telekinesis is a core art of any aspiring mage.”
Background
A magic as old as time itself, Telekinesis is often described as a base magic - a core form of Arcane casting. Discovered generations ago, the mage who first mastered the art has long since been lost to history, but their findings have been passed down from one mage to the next. A simple magic at first glance, Telekinesis is an art that requires finesse and patience. One should not judge the art due to its simple appearances, a skilled telekinetic is a fierce combatant and not one to be underestimated.
Explanation
Telekinesis works through a series of anchors, points in which the mage will grasp what they intend to move. The mage will use these to clamp down on the object in order to lift and manipulate it. There is no limit to the amount of anchors the telekinetic can conjure past a certain level of skill, but their anchors will only be able to support so much weight. Thus, a budding telekinetic may marvel at how a master of the art is able to hoist up a three hundred pound boulder when they are struggling to move a filled teapot.
While most commonly telekinesis is used to lift, move, toss and lower things for the mage, it’s not the only use of the magic. Over time with practice the telekinetic will be able to concentrate on their anchor and apply force directly to it - intending to shove the object. This force, when applied in a greater sense, could inflict harm and shatter things.
Spells
“From lifting a teapot to serve my guests, to tearing down a pillar to crush my foes - telekinesis is only limited by the mage who wields it.”
Manipulation:
The very core of telekinesis, manipulation is where all abilities and skills the telekinetic will learn are stemmed from. Through the understanding of anchor placement, how to securely grip an item, and eventually how to lift and move said object, the mage will be able to progress into more complicated uses of this old arcane art.
Mechanics:
Manipulation is the simplest use of telekinesis being that it is a matter of connecting to the mana stream, applying an anchor and finally manipulating the thing the mage wishes to move.
To cast: 3+ emotes are required - each emote after the first manipulate emote is done to continue to manipulate the item and retain focus.
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Manipulate [1+]
Force Shove:
A useful spell intended to push back objects, people, or whatever else may be needed, Force Shove is a spell not to be overlooked. With much practice, a highly skilled telekinetic can even focus on their anchor with enough concentrated force to do actual damage to the item grasped.
Mechanics:
At its most basic form, Force Shove is the application of anchors to an object and then the applying of force to those anchors. According to the weight of the item attempting to be moved this way affects the amount of emotes required to cast.
To cast: 3+ emotes are required - each emote after the first concentration(scale) emote is done to continue to build force in order to push back whatever is anchored.
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale Emotes [X] -> Apply Force[1]
To better explain these emote lengths, we have to have an understanding of size, below is a graph to help explain this better:
Small: Up to 10 lbs.
Medium: 10 to 30 lbs.
Large: 30 to 200 lbs.
Huge: 200 + lbs.
Each weight scale above medium will result in an additional emote being added to the count required. For example, if a person was pushing a large object, it would take four emotes to shove it: Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale [1] -> Apply Force [1]
For Medium or Small, it would be:
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale [0] -> Apply Force [1]
Force Tether:
The counterpart to Force Shove, Force Tether is a spell in which a mage will grab hold of an object with their anchor and pull upon it. This can be done to rip down things such as curtains, or perhaps support beams, or to try and pull a person by their armor away from someone else.
Mechanics:
A fast thinking telekinetic will be able to make great use of this spell, being able to pull things to open passages, to block things, and much more!
To cast: 3+ emotes are required - each emote after the first concentration(scale) emote is done to continue to build force in order to pull whatever is anchored.
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale Emotes [X] -> Pull on the Tether[1]
For example, if a person was pulling a large object, it would take four emotes to do so: Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale [1] -> Pull on the Tether [1]
For Medium or Small, it would be:
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale [0] -> Pull on the Tether [1]
Force Throw:
Perhaps the second most used of the telekinetic’s arsenal, Force Throw is the means in which a mage will take an object and proceed to do just that - throw it. The force in which the object in question is thrown will vary according to the skill of the mage, but even in lower tiers this spell can prove quite useful.
Mechanics:
From tossing a book at your friend to throwing a collection of sharpened stones, Force Throw is a spell to be utilized by the creative mind.
To cast: 3+ emotes are required - each emote after the first concentration(scale) emote is done to continue to build force in order to lift and throw the item.
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale Emotes [X] -> Throw [1]
To better explain these emote lengths and the speed in which an object will be able to be thrown by the mage, we have to have an understanding of size, below is a graph to help explain this better. The size of the object will directly correlate to the speed in which they will be able to be moved.
Small: Up to 10 lbs. Speed is Equal to T4 Throw Speed
Medium: 10 to 30 lbs. Speed is Equal to T4 Throw Speed
Large: 30 to 200 lbs. Speed is Equal to T3 Throw Speed
Huge: 200 + lbs. - Speed is Equal to T2 Throw Speed
Each weight scale above medium will result in an additional emote being added to the count required. For example, if a person was attempting to throw a large item, it would take four emotes to do so:
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale Emotes [X] -> Throw [1]
For Medium or Small, it would be:
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Scale [0] -> Throw [1]
Redirect:
The fastest casted spell of all of the telekinetic arsenal, redirect is a prized spell and one no telekinetic should overlook. With the swoop of the mage’s hand, a swiftly soaring arrow can be pushed aside to avoid striking the caster or one of their allies.
Mechanics:
This spell is used to push small objects moving at arrow speed away from the target.
Connect [1] -> Redirect [1]
Hover:
A very niche magic, Hover can only be used when a mage has fully mastered the telekinetic arts. This spell is one in which the caster will place anchors upon an object that they are standing upon and will then lift it - causing them and the object to hover.
Mechanics:
Hover is not a true flying spell, as a mage can not soar to grand heights. Instead, Hover allows the caster to do just that, hovering at about 1 meter of the ground. While hovering, they move quicker (6 blocks per turn of movement). This spell can last up to 5 emotes while in combat, but can be done indefinitely out of combat.
Connect [1] -> Place Anchor [1] -> Concentrate [1] -> Start Hovering

Redlines
One cannot use any form of telekinesis to grab hold of entire people and other living beings.
No force or pressure can be applied directly onto any organs of a person.
The telekinetic is unable to spin helmets around or crush armor pieces with their anchors.
The absolute maximum a Telekinec can move amongst its anchors is 400 lbs.
Cannot control and move other people's limbs, organs, or the like.
Should the Telekinetic ever lose focus on the object, or should they lose line of sight, the tether to the item will be lost and it will fall.
When Force Shove is used it is applying force upon the anchor on someone's clothing or armor.
When Force Tether is used to pull, it is using the anchor to pull on armor or clothing so cloth is likely to rip.
The amount of force a mage can apply to their anchor mirrors the amount of weight they are able to manipulate.
Redirect can only affect physical objects, no deflecting magical spells.
After one use of the Redirect spell, the Telekinec must wait for 1 emote before another casting of the spell.
Maximum height Hover can reach is 1 meter from the surface, and the maximum speed is +2 blocks to the typical walking speed.
To use Hover you must place the anchor on an object that is of relevant weight and flat, this weight does not count to their weight total.
