    Background

Across all of the world of mortal kind, there have been pieces of the unforgiving and unrelenting frost. In only the coldest regions of these tundras, ice would sprout out from the earth itself. These shards of pure ice hold a temperature even colder than that of the tundra atmosphere itself. Every shard of this ice, no matter the size, is around -320 Fahrenheit (-196 Celsius). These spikes of ice have been commonly referred to as Glacite or by some of the less educated of the lands, Frost Steel.

While no one knows why these crystals of ice exist in the first place, it is only known that every so often almost sporadically these shards rend out of the earth of the tundra itself. This ice would have originated around the same time as that of the first Frost Elves. Both existences are ever intertwined with each other within the tundra.

Glacite had garnered its alternative name due to how strong it was. The ice crystals would hold the strength of steel itself, the forging of these weapons required to be done by a hammer and chisel to gain the material to truly shape. Much like typical metal the crystal must be plunged into fiery depths and molded much like typical steel. After cooling down from the heat of the flames the crystal will become as strong as typical mundane steel.

The temperature of these ice crystals would be comparable to that of -320 Fahrenheit (-196 Celsius), both in its pure and sculpted state. If one were to place a bare hand atop the ice, they would almost instantly start suffering from frostbite. A leather glove would crumble and crack as the Glacite froze it upon contact. This is while still in the climate of the tundra or the tundra itself. If one were to touch it with bare skin or a thin leather glove outside said frozen climate, they would need to hold onto the crystal for two emotes before the frostbite effect takes effect.

If cut by Glacite in or out of the tundra, the afflicted will have a burning sensation as frostbite creeps around the cut area. Upon first contact exposure, the frostbite will be that of frostnip, which is mild and the burning sensation will fade after 2 emotes. When 2 total emote exposure is present upon one's skin it will transfer into second-degree frostbite. This will also continue to be the same for both the third and fourth emote contacts giving third and fourth-degree frostbite when the same region is still exposed to contact. Around third and fourth degrees the risk of losing that limb will be very high.

    Redlines
    • -If Glacite is broken down into chunks smaller than a human fist it can be melted entirely by mundane fire. That is if the Glacite is within the flame directly for 2 emotes.
    • -Glacite is just as strong as mundane steel no matter the climate.
    • -No race can handle Glacite with their bare hands.
    • -Outside the tundras, if a Glacite weapon is within magical fire directly for 3 emotes, it will become inert for that combat encounter. If this is done with mundane fire it will take 4 emotes for it to become inert for the combat encounter.
    • -Upon the third or fourth emotes of contact in the same region will leave those at risk of losing limbs due to frostbite.
    • -Follows all common redlines of Steel.
    • -Any Glacite requires staff signatures.
