“By the fire and forge, we craft our bond.”
The Tavrosi were born in fire, darkness, and hardship. Their flames are a given light to the world. They descend from ancient dragons, living their lives underground in their homes made of metal and stone. They’ve long lived in these lands, focused on working together and building their hearths to defend against the outside monsters. The Tavrosi are well versed in the monsters of the land. They harbor monster hunters, blacksmiths, leatherworkers, fighters, and architects. The Tavrosi worship the dragons, following their guidance as they document and explore the lands.
At their core, Tavrosi are gentle creatures. Although fierce Monster Hunters, their reasoning for doing so is solely for resource gathering, and research. With the wildlife of the world the way it is, and the longevity of the Tavrosi, they have learned to work together with the world to help the environments around them. They are not protectors of the balance, but coexist with the druidic ways often.

The Tavrosi are divided into two groups, the
Shul’Tavrosi and Vulon’Tavrosi
Although they live separately, they often work together. War and politics do not separate them, as their ideals work in tandem with one another. There are often rivalries, moreso competitive rather than through hatred, at the end of the day they are two sides of the same coin. Each one will mature to recognize this at some point, given the proper guidance of their elders.
(( OOC NOTE: Their physical differences are the primary things to look at when coming up with designs for the race. As a general rule of thumb, All horns are able to look however you want. But sticking with the designs, The Shul have longer and curvier horns. Like bulls and goats. The Vulon have horns akin to Deer and Elk, and are often covered with spines and spikes. This rule is also not set in stone. But the following are, unless the species is a mix of Shul and Vulon, while rare, is completely allowed and accepted by the race. ))

Tavrosi Maturity:
Tavrosi view maturity as different sections of life, and is marked by physical attributes on their person.
18 is when they’re no longer considered a child, but not nearly mature. This being said, many Tavrosi are taught to work as their parents do, expected to help out in shops and work as soon as their hands can hold a hammer without an issue, often younger than their seen age of adolescence.
Skill and knowledge is just that, and regarded with respect in their society.
Physical attributes will slowly change through a young tavrosi’s life, such as
- Once they reach 18, their eyes will solidify in color, as it’s normally a foggier/ less vivid color till then. This is when a young Tavrosi is no longer seen as a child.
- Their tails will grow their spikes/fins fully at about 30, as well as their claws. This is when a Tavrosi is normally expected to experience what life has to offer, no longer bound to their parents and free to explore the world as long as they have adequate training.
- Fully grown horns by the age of 40. A Tavrosi that has been growing to the expected rate will be invited to the circles of their elders. Unable to speak, but expected to be home from their travels and ready to help their clan.
- It isn’t until about the age of 50 that a Tavrosi is expected to be at the mental capacity of an adult, and understand the knowledge of their parents full, able to be repeated and passed on. Typically having children younger than this is frowned upon by their society, but is rarely punished rather than celebrated like any other birth of a dragonborn. It is also this time when a Tavrosi is expected to understand themselves in most extents (though this might be fake bravado for the sake of proving themselves to their elders). This also includes knowing their path in life, being a Druid, a mage, or an Elementalist.
The Shul’Tavrosi
The Shul - or Sun Tavrosi, are traders, hunters, and valiant guardians. They wander the lands to scout for new environments. Their stalwart defensive nature has led them to become mighty crafters. They create armors and saddles.
The Sun Tavrosi are the ‘Kinder’ appearing species, quiet and passive normally, but loud when conducting attention or leading.
